I play Fortnite professionally and I currently have the problem that my FPS sometimes go below 144, which they shouldn't normally, because I have these specs:
RTX 2070 Super
Ryzen 7 2700x
32gb DDR4 RAM (runs at 1064.1MHz, according to CPU-Z, but is written on the packaging @ 3200MHz)
ROG STRIX B450-E Gaming (mainboard)
MP510 960gb ssd
144hz BENQ Xl2411P
So how can I get more FPS? I play on 1920x1080 and on low settings because of the esport
RGB?
XD thanks haha rgb i have enough
If you don't want to lower the resolution further, you will probably need a stronger CPU / GPU
Funny I mean a Ryzen 7 2700x and a 2070 Super? Wtf that is almost overkill
GPU must be safe enough. At most CPU, but that should actually pack the 144 with the settings
Apparently not ^^. I have a 2080ti. But don't gamble. Look with a fps program (msi afterburner + riva tuner) what is Bottleneck with you. Upgrade accordingly. GPU or CPU
I think you also record in parallel for twitch or similar? Of course, this takes a lot of power. Otherwise you should take a look at what is going on in the background. From the hardware, you should actually manage 144fps easily.
CPU rather
I also think about the resolution and ingame settings
Runs at 1064.1MHz, l
DDR means double data rate, therefore the real clock rate is approx. 2 * 1064.1MHz = 2128.2MHz. Apparently your RAM only fills up to approx. 2133MHz, not to the full 3200MHz. In the BIOS you should be able to activate the XMP profile of the RAM in order to achieve the desired clock rate.
Are you still recording or streaming?
I don't actually play Fortnite but when I tried it I had a GTX 1060 6GB and i5 3570k over 100fps and I didn't set it to low: /.
Of the specs, he should easily manage that. Do you have a 4k or 1440p monitor?
Take a look at the Task Manager, maybe a program in the background swallows too much. Maybe turn off shadowplay highlights if you have it in there.
You can also write how your CPU and GPU utilization is. Maybe bottlenecked something. GPU and CPU could still be overclocked in an emergency, then that should definitely work.
