I recently got a 144 Hz monitor. In fortnite I get 144 fps but with drops. I currently have an RX570 and wanted to know which graphics card I have to upgrade to in order not to drop below 144 fps (I play on medium graphics settings. Could it be due to my processor (AMD Ryzen 5 1400 Quad-Core Processor 3.20 GHz).
Before you spend any money to buy a new GPU, I would suggest you just set the settings to low or to performance mode. That makes 100 times more sense.
It's because of the cpu… Bit weak for battle royale that is more on the cpu
Do you play on direct x11 or x12? X12 is very buggy in fortnite. And with you direct x11 shouldn't make any difference anyway. Except that it's more stable.
Well, I already have everything on low except for the textures, because otherwise it doesn't look nice anymore and I have the viewing distance on medium. How do you activate the performance mode?
Direct x11
Textures make a difference. The performance mode simply sets the settings a little bit lower than low, unfortunately I don't know where that works. But only to spend around 200 euro to play with medium textures (something clever is starting now), that's rubbish, I hope you agree ^^
Which cpu would you recommend to me?
Tried around a bit between x11 and x12. At fortnite you don't have any drops. Fortnite just runs very weirdly under high. Low and mid are so unperformant that 200fps play like 10 …
Depending on. A new motherboard would probably also have to be inserted. An i5 10600k is currently highly recommended. AMD has just dropped a bit in terms of price performance.
I'll try low textures
At the moment it is generally difficult to buy graphics cards for a good price. If possible, I would recommend waiting a few months (3-4) until the prices are partially normal again.
When the prices have calmed down, I would recommend a graphics card from the RTX 30 series. For example the GeForce RTX 3060.
Yes, try that ^^ If that doesn't lead to the desired result, the performance mode still remains.
That's a bit too expensive for a processor for me. My mainboard is an ASRock B450M Pro4.
Yes, but changing the mainboard is total cheese… Then you are trampling the P / L ratio with your feet. In addition, the CPU is still sufficient ^^ If an upgrade is really necessary, I would go up to a Ryzen 5 3600 or something similar.
Yes, if you only knew how to activate it
Oh, you have a b450 board. Tell me straightaway. Then you can pretty much take anything from the 3000s. E.g. A 3600. Or if the budget is sufficient a 3700x / 3800x

Here you can see a picture of the options menu showing you where to find the option ^^
I didn't intend to get them now anyway. My budget in 4 months is around 250 euro
Thank you
Very happy ^^
Please tell me your exact name because i have no idea about that
