Well, I'll just start with my specs. GTX 1060 6GB, i7 7700k, 16GB Ram, Kingston A400 250GB SSD, Seagate 1TB HDD, MSI B250m Pro-VDH and Windows 10 Pro. Windows has not been reset and BIOS has been reset
I recently bought the i7 again because my old CPU (Pentium G4560) just was not enough anymore. Now I have the CPU installed and everything is running, but I have in GTA or Fortnite (both are known for a poor optimization) very little FPS. In Fortnite sometimes over 120, then after the next start at just over 70 which drop to 50 and in GTA only around 40. Both games are not on the highest graphics settings! I do not think that there's a lack of hardware, since the i7 for GTA is almost "overkill". Hope you can help me. I'm really not a PC novice, but there I'm even with my Latin at the end.
Do you already have the latest drivers?
Explorer → Right-click on "This PC" and on "Manage" → Then under "System" on "Device Manager" → Do you already have the latest drivers?
Explorer → Right-click on "This PC" and on "Manage" → Then under "System" on "Device Manager" → under "Graphics Cards" go to the top of the "Update Driver Icon" * → "Automatically search for updated driver software"
Done * Example picture
Latest drivers are installed. GFE does not show me any updates
Then let the task manager open when you play and look, if you again Framedrops have something overloaded.
It is nothing overloaded. CPU is all at most 40%
Ok then it's really very funny
GraKa is also overclocked by 0.5ghz. Now I'm faced with the question of whether I should reinstall the games or yet to put the whole PC new
Could not that be a problem with overheating? A heat accumulation in the housing? Then clock CPU and GPU yes down
Already thought about it, but according to MSI Afterburner, my GPU is in desktop mode at 38 ° C. However, I have to be honest and use the cooler supplied with the Pentium for the CPU and an old Medion case. Upgrade that, however, next month.
Edit: 've again removed the fan and have noticed that has relaxed (sat previously bombproof). I removed it when I noticed that the CPU is running at 99-100 ° C in desktop mode. That was very strange. Have then as already said the cooler expanded and reinstalled again and now I reach even in Fortnite, which has a grottenschlechte optimization, Epic Settings, the 200FPS
