Why do I have a high ping in games or other things like discord. Fortnite for example 100 and discord also but the speedtest says 12

The speed test selects the cheapest server, the one closest to you.

Would I do a speed test in the deepest Russia, I would have a ping of 1-20ms, on a German server, the ping would still be at 200+.
