I'm going to grow a very good gaming PC and wanted to buy a gaming monitor with 144 hz and my question is if I use the monitor then I have in the game such as. Fortnite also 144 fps although my PC has easy 250 fps or more?

The monitor updates 144x per second (when set to 144Hz). He always shows 144 FPS, no matter how much the graphics card delivers. If it is less than 144, some images are displayed for 2 frames. If there are more than 144, the excess is useless - at best. In the worst case, this causes more screen-visible screen tearing.

It is ideal if FPS of the graphics card with the Hz number reasonably agree. Technologies like G-Sync and Freesync can help here, as they match the monitor refresh rate and graphics card FPS output
