What does my PC need to play Fortnite with 144 FPS?

I would like to buy a PC to play Fortnite at a constant 144 FPS.

If someone knows the game and just PC's, I would be happy if they would give me an answer😊.

Which graphics card?

Which processor?

Which mainboard?

What cooling?

Which SSD card?

Etc…

PS: I already have a 144HZ monitor!

ma

What resolution and graphics settings do you want to play later on?

wo

Everything on low or medium settings and resolution: 1920x1080, 16: 9

Gu

Tell me your budget and I'll tell you your components.

wo

My budget would be as little as possible, of course… But for constant 144 FPS without drops I would leaf through something. 1000-1500 euro

Gu

So hehe with a budget of 1000 euro:

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600

Mainboard: MSI B450M Pro-VDH Max

Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070 SUPER (8GB)

RAM: 16GB G.Skill Aegis 3000Mhz

SSD: 480GB Corsair MP510 SSD (NVMe)

Power supply: 500W Bequiet Pure Power 11

Housing: Sharkoon S1000

With 1200 euro:

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600

Mainboard: MSI B450 Tomahawk Max

Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070 SUPER (8GB)

RAM: 16GB G.Skill Aegis 3000Mhz

SSD: 480GB Corsair MP510 SSD (NVMe)

Hard disk: 1TB Toshiba Performance

Power supply: 500W Be quiet! Pure Power 11

Radiator: Be quiet! Pure rock

Case: Fractal Design Meshify C

Do you want to build yourself or buy ready?

wo

First, thanks for your answer. Building it yourself is a lot cheaper than buying one, isn't it?

Gu

That should be enough even for high settings.

Gu

Yes, in most cases. At the moment there's a very good offer:

I ordered my PC there because the individual parts would have been more expensive.

Thank you for the recommendation!

The cheapest thing you could buy to start would be an SSD.

A good SSD example. You can get an EVO today for 100 euro. For SSDs very cheap in contrast to the past. However, SSDs do not improve FPS. I recommend SSDs to greatly increase the speed of the PC.

The mainboard doesn't improve FPS either, you might only need a new one if the hardware update doesn't match the MB's performance.

Just like the fan doesn't improve FPS.

What improves the FPS is the CPU (the processor), the GPU (chip of the graphics card) and RAM (random access memory).

For the CPU I can recommend the Ryzen series from AMD. Ryzen have a good frequency and are far cheaper than Intel. Just have a look at Alternate for Ryzen. There you can also choose a price range and how many cores you would like to have.

I would buy a gtx from the Graka. You won't go wrong with a 1070 Ti. However, has its price. A 1660 Ti is a cheaper alternative. However, has a slightly weaker performance than the 1070. It is important, however, that you buy a Ti as the main thing. Has 6GB and rest is cooler and clock speeds are better.

Otherwise I recommend you to buy more RAM. But keep in mind that if you buy more cores, most games will only load one core anyway. So go to memory.

And the most important thing before you buy anything. Check the chemistry between all PC parts. Everyone must act together.

For example, you can only build a Ryzen with an AM4 socket on your MB. I have a super old MB with an AM3 socket and therefore can't buy Ryzen. However, check ALL data of the individual parts whether they really fit.

EDIT: Saw that you have a pretty big budget. The higher the better, of course. Then you also have more scope with the SSD, a graphics card, the CPU and the RAM. Of course there are again from "relatively cheap" to unnecessarily expensive.

BUT: please don't touch brands like Alienware. Unnecessarily expensive and bad cooling

Thanks for your answer🙌

What does your current system look like? Would you rather have a completely new one or upgrade your current one? Build together or buy ready?

wo

Completely new, ready to buy
