Is my sister addicted?

I believe that my sister Fortnite is addicted because she has already spent an abnormal amount of money on this game (she is only 8) and hardly goes out because she is only on the switch all the time! Or during the Corona Holidays she totally neglected her tasks, in the end my mother saved her from this situation! When my parents call my sister to eat, she doesn't come because she's playing at Fortnite! Is this still normal? It's all about Fortnite with her all the time! Auch She's also become totally disrespectful to the older ones in our family. What do you say?

Why you let 8 year old children play without a limit is a good question.

She has to get on with it and that will only work with a partial ban. I.e. Limit your times with it. I would not completely ban it, as it would only trigger a defiance.

So in advance I think it's normal right now… The generations are changing, even if it's a shame that the kids don't go out and play anymore…

However, this is also a clear question of education. If her parents allow her to play so much, become disrespectful to older people and don't show up for lunch… Well, why should she stop if nobody prevents it?

Just ban it for a week and see what happens.

Lovely wishes

This is not normal and it is up to your parents to intervene and better educate your sister.

Lately, she is no longer allowed to play with the switch, even with the cell phone. But she got the cell phone back and I think the Switch will be back soon. My sister also gets a lot of trouble because of her behavior, but she only complains and then argues with my mother… 🙄

She seems to be addicted, you should limit the time and you should do other things with her to distract her
