I'm 16, go to high school and my grades are better than the 3 cut and I like to play Fortnite because I'm really good at the game, the problem is my mother (I admit I was too much involved in the game). She thinks I have an addiction (I play a maximum of 3 hours a day and not every day) and she thinks I have depression. (PS: Must no longer be at the console)
What do you think?
You are addicted if you can't do without it - no matter how much time!
If you are even depressed now just because you are not allowed to play, then she is definitely more than right
So I didn't play for 1 week without any problems. So I'm not depressed in my opinion because I have no problems that go in the direction
To be honest, that's a good thing.
Enjoy your school days and learn something and don't waste your precious time playing because later you will regret not having learned the math exam because you absolutely wanted to play Fortnite with Kevin
Your mother definitely can't take the game off like the other majority of people.
But now really: In Germany, the definition of addiction is very different from that in other countries. (E.g. China)
In China, for example, you are officially addicted to playing 4-6 hours at a time. In Germany it is a little different, here time is not counted but criteria such as aggressiveness or neglect of things.
I think you should maybe talk to your mother about it and take a break first and show that you can do other things.
